If your cargo fills at least 75% of a 20ft container (roughly 25–28 CBM), FCL is usually more cost-effective and faster since there's no consolidation or deconsolidation. For smaller volumes, LCL lets you pay only for the space you use. We'll compare both options for your specific shipment.
For standard FCL, we recommend booking at least 7–10 days before the desired sailing date. During peak season (July–October), 14–21 days is safer. LCL bookings should be made at least 5–7 days ahead to allow for consolidation at the CFS warehouse.
At minimum you'll need a commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading. Depending on the destination country, you may also need a certificate of origin, fumigation certificate, or specific import licenses. We'll advise on the exact requirements for your commodity and destination.
Yes. We handle IMDG-classified cargo including chemicals, batteries, and flammable materials. We'll need the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and proper DG classification to determine packaging, labeling, and carrier acceptance requirements. Early notification is important as DG space is limited.
