One quote, one contract, one team — from your supplier’s factory gate in China to your warehouse door, under whichever incoterm fits your trade.
A door-to-door shipment chains together five separate operations: inland trucking in China, export customs, ocean or air carriage, import customs at destination, and final delivery. Booked separately, that means five vendors, five invoices and five places where something can slip. Booked with BY-LINE, it is one booking with a single all-in price and one operator accountable for every leg.
We quote door-to-door under all major incoterms, so the division of cost and risk matches your commercial agreement with your supplier or buyer. If you are not sure which term to use, tell us the transaction and we’ll recommend one — importers new to China often start with FOB and move to DDP once volumes justify it, and we support both ends of that journey.
Because our own team controls the origin side — pickup, Ningbo warehousing, export customs and carrier booking — and our vetted agents handle destination clearance and delivery, problems are resolved inside one network instead of being bounced between strangers.
We deliver to your door with all duties and taxes paid. You receive one all-in price; ideal for importers who want zero logistics involvement.
We deliver to your address, but you pay import duties and VAT at clearance. A good middle ground when you have your own duty exemptions or VAT registration.
We cover carriage and insurance to your destination port; you take over from arrival, including import clearance and onward transport.
Your supplier delivers the cargo on board at the Chinese port; we manage the ocean leg and everything after, on your instructions as the buyer.
You buy at the factory door and we handle everything from there: pickup, export formalities, freight and delivery. Maximum control, maximum responsibility.
Trucking collects the cargo from the factory, with loading supervised and photographed.
Declaration filed in China; documents checked for consistency before the cut-off.
Ocean or air leg on contracted space, tracked from departure to arrival.
Our destination agent files the import entry and settles duties under DDP/DAP.
Cargo delivered to your warehouse or site, with proof of delivery confirmed.
Under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), we handle the entire journey including destination customs clearance and payment of import duties and taxes — you receive the cargo at your door with no additional charges. Under DAP (Delivered At Place), we deliver to your door but the consignee is responsible for import customs clearance and duty payment. We recommend DDP for hassle-free shipping and DAP when the consignee has their own import license and prefers to handle duties directly.
Yes. We arrange trucking from factories across China — Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Fujian, Shandong and other major manufacturing provinces — to the port or airport of departure. The pickup cost depends on distance and cargo volume, and is included in your door-to-door quote.
Through our vetted overseas agent network, we file import entries in the destination country, classify goods under local tariff codes, calculate duties and taxes, and arrange any required inspections or certificates. For DDP shipments, we pay duties on your behalf and include them in the invoice. All destination charges are pre-quoted so there are no surprises.
We quote under all major Incoterms 2020 rules: EXW, FOB, CIF, CFR, DAP and DDP. The most common for door-to-door are DDP (seller handles everything) and DAP (seller delivers, buyer clears customs). We can advise on which term minimizes your total cost and risk based on your specific trade lane.
DDP, DAP, CIF, FOB or EXW — tell us where your cargo starts and ends, and we’ll price the whole journey.
